Jesus follower. Wife. Mom. Author. Speaker. Film Producer. Carla is founder of Reflective Life Ministries, and she has a true passion for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She truly believes laughter is medicine from the Lord that breaks down walls and removes the masks in our lives. As a result, God has taken her around the world to encourage others to live every day for Him.

We Are Stronger is the third movie produced by RLM. It explores a soldier’s battle with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). As he struggles to recover from his injuries and fit back into the civilian world, he learns he can’t do it by himself. 

RLM’s second movie, First Love – Breathe, Talk to God, Listen, tells a modern day story based on the life of Peter. It was released in 2013 in English and again with Spanish subtitles. It received a 5 Star Dove Award from the Dove Foundation.

The movie, Behind the Veil became available in 2010 at the same time Carla’s first book, Reflecting Him: Living for Jesus and Loving It, was published. The story follows the lessons in the Bible study and was originally a part of the Leader’s Guide Video. Upon requests by people doing the study, a cd of the entire movie was produced.

Carla has written three books. SOLD OUT, Live for Jesus was published in September, 2015. It illustrates how God desires for us to live each day for Him. My Prayer Chair was published and won multiple awards in 2013. It is all about a living, walking, breathing relationship with Jesus, and is available in Spanish as well as an audio book. Her first book was Reflecting Him.

Carla’s faithfulness to listen to God’s plans for her and RLM is leading her around the world. She firmly believes the more we read God’s Word, the more we know Him. The more we know Him, the more we love Him. The more we love Him, the more we crave Him. And as a result, we reflect Jesus to those around us.

Carla and her husband, Fred, live in the Houston, Texas area and have three sons, a daughter, and two daughters-in-love.

WE ARE STRONGER is a faith-based movie exploring a veteran’s battle with PTSD. Our prayer is to raise awareness of PTSD and the hope Christ offers for healing.
